Some Dr's have had their priviliges suspended from prescribing narcotics if found to be writing to many narcotic scripts. No, I don't think so - but you could certainly try reporting him to the Medical Council. Make sure things are really the way you perceive them to be before going this route. I suggest you make an appointment, see the doctor and tell him about your fears for your Dad on exycondin. Perhaps he will even put your mind at ease. It may be that your Dad is not actually hooked on the painkiller but simply takes it because it works. The answer in your case would be no.
