A human mouth is full of bacteria, you'd get all kinds of nasty bugs in a very serious wound (if you even had that large of a mouth, since what you describe isn't physically possible). I'm no expert but I think emergency care would be to tourniquet it instead, to keep the person from bleeding to death.
