I have gotten them as well, there are a a few things you can do: Make sure your face is clean before you shave, watch and experiment with the direction you shave (against the grain or with the direction of the hair growth?) I find it best to shave with a razor after a hot shower when the skin is soft and with a good shaving cream for sensitive skin; there are also a few good aftershave products that will keep the bumps from coming back. These bumps mostly occur due to shaving in the wrong direction; the hair curls up and grows back into the skin (so called ingrown hairs) that is what causes the puss along with irritation. when you shave: go perpendicular to (not opposite or with) the direction of hair growth. go over each area only once; don't try to get every last bit of hair. Repeatedly shaving one spot is irritating. when done soak a washcloth in hot water and wring it out. then open it up and apply to the shaved area. if you like, apply an after shave. for a few days don't shave if you can get away with that. But apply the hot wash cloth 2 or 3 times a day to help heal the skin. those are probably ingrown hairs. You should use an aftershave called tend skin. It really helps prevent ingrown hairs. Also maybe try to switch to a razor that has one or two blades max. The closer the shave the more likely you are to get ingrowns. Do you use shaving cream? That can ease some of the irritation. So can aftershave, but it'll burn. Be sure that the aftershave and shaving cream don't have any oils in them. Or if that still causes a problem, maybe switch to an electric razor I don't know if it will work for you. it did for me but try putting either vaseline or petroleum jelly on it. Your mom or (if you have one) sister probably has some. Also maybe you could try using an electric shaver, less irritation. You might be shaving in the wrong direction. Shave the opposite way and only go over it once or twice. Use shaving cream (or gel) and aftershave. dont keeep shaving it over when you do it once or twice stop that how u get those bumps and try shaving cream to clear it up try alchoal well my boyfriend gets bumps along his neck too.and if you use after shave.it closes your pores faster so those bumps wont appear.and if they do.not as many..it worked for him.hope it helped : ) Sounds like pimples.
